The first day of the conference was great! We finally got the booth set up and once we did we were off and running. It was good to see everyone we’ve been exchanging emails with over the past few weeks…”Are you going? Stop by the booth – etc.”. The Big Easy is still a great town and there’s alot of positive energy surrounding the show. I’m looking forward to tomorrow. Stay tuned…

First Day of CAI National
April 24, 2009Fun at the library
August 20, 2008Today Susan, Imari and I took a trip over to the Forsyth County Library and met some really nice folks. We were there to donate a collection of publications as a part of the Community Associations Institute’s Adopt-A-Library program. The publications address a wide variety of topics of interest to homeowner and association board members, committee members and volunteers and will hopefully prove helpful to patrons of the Cumming, Georgia library over the coming years. We were graciously received by the Library Director, Jon McDaniel (far left below) and the Assistant Director of Materials, Linda Kelly (second from the right).
This is our first work with CAI’s Adopt-A-Library program, which is a nationwide effort to enhance library resources through private donations from companies. We decided to take part in this as a part of our 10th Anniversary Year celebration. I was impressed with the large selection and variety of materials provided as part of the program. I would definitely consider doing this again in the future if we can find more libraries that have the need for these materials.
